$850 room for rent 2.5BR, walk-in closet, 5 blks to Montrose L, G, JMZ (East Williamsburg)

Looking for a mid to long term roommate (3 mo. minimum) in a lovely and truly unique setup for a 2.5 bedroom / 1 bathroom with beautiful arched entries, LOTS of sunlight, windows, and elevated wall-mounted shelving units in East Williamsburg. Bedrooms are equal and decent sized — can fit a full bed, desk and small dresser — but the real steal is the HUGE living room and .5 bedroom, which is almost just as big as an actual bedroom, and which I have converted into a large walk-in closet that we would share. The .5 room even has a “real” closet, which I use for storage (luggage, etc.).
Apartment is in a nice residential area, a five short blocks to the Montrose / Grand L, Lorimer JMZ, Broadway G and walkable to most other stops on the L — a sweet middle-ground between the busier, pricier Bedford area and the industrial Bushwick stuff further east. Near favorite watering holes The Drink, Bushwick Country Club, Duck Duck, Don Pedros, amazing Mexican food and laundromat around the corner. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 3 floor building, above a bodega with the nicest dudes who field mail and packages while you are away at work, and 1 block away from a 24-hour bodega, also with nice dudes. I’ve lived here for 3+ years and really can’t stress what an ideal location this is.
Another plus is that the landlord is pretty chill — he sometimes lets you get away with paying the rent a week or two late, is cool with a month to month agreement, etc. — but you will have to replace the first, last and security for my current roommate, who is moving out to live with her boyfriend. Current total to move in $2550, water and heat included, additional utilities usually around $50-60.
Official move-in date November 15th but you will be able to start bringing in your stuff beginning November 1st (for free!, if you are awesome). So write me a sweet email telling me a bit about yourself and I will do the same (For now I will tell you: 26, female, California native, writer working in design industry, generally fairly laid back but appreciates cleanliness, etc.)
